Electricity is very expensive on the island. So please I ask you to turn off the A/C when you leave the property. It doesn't take long to cool off the condo. I do have two ceiling fans, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. I also have two bikes that you can use to explore the neighborhood. There is a harbor just up the street where you can sign up for some ocean tours.

Each bike has its own combination chain lock and a rain poncho under the seats. I don't provide bike helmets, so bring your own. I also have a security box inside the bedroom closet. There are two location to dump the tash, one is outside the main entrance and the other downstairs by the two common area bathrooms.

Neighborhood

San Miguel de Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico

The condo is located on the north side of the island, away from the noise and traffic. The neighborhood is in a residential area and just 5 minutes away from the airport and about 15 to 20 minutes walking distance to the town plaza or a 5 min cab ride. There are a couple of restaurants walking distance from the condo. One of my favorite is called Heminway (great for breakfast). Its a 10 minute walk from the condo toward town on the ocean side. It sets above the beach so you get a constant ocean breeze. I go there for breakfast and dinner. The owner and staff are great. After a meal you can relax on one of their hammocks and chill!

What our clients are saying

"Wow. That sums up Jim's place completely. Very nice reception from his assistant, greeted with fresh fruit , and liquid refreshments. Great apartment with EVERYTHING you might need. EVERYTHING!! Beautiful views, some of the best snorkeling right off the back of the property. Shower was best of our three places in MX, temp and pressure. Spotless upon arrival. Overall, one of the best self-hosted places I've ever stayed in any country. If I could give more than five stars, I would."

Josh

"Jim’s place in Cozumel is amazing, we had such a wonderful 11 day stay! The condo has everything you need to enjoy fun in the sun and it was very comfortable, cozy and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with gadgets and nice appliances which made it easy to cook and make drinks. The snorkeling is amazing right out back from the ladder access, the pool was big, and the garden area was lovely. We really enjoyed the location, very peaceful and right on the edge of town…the bikes provided made it easy to ride to town (about ten min away). Jim is a great host. He was very kind, helpful and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!"

Stephanie

"Jim's place is great! We will absolutely stay there again on our next visit to Cozumel. There are a few restaurants/beach clubs just up the street (5-10 min walk) and it's probably a 15-20 min walk into downtown, but the included bikes make it quick and easy to get over there. It's also very easy to grab a cab out front if needed. The location is in a quieter part of town, so it's very relaxing. The apartment itself is great for a couple. We cooked breakfast there most days but ate out for other meals. There is a great area on the back of the building with a pool and beach chairs for relaxing. We ended up swimming in the pool and/or ocean every day of our stay. The snorkeling right off the back of the building is fantastic - possibly the best of anywhere we went during our stay. Lots of colorful fish and coral right there, but if you want to see loads of fish (thousands?), swim to the two piers about 300 meters south (toward town). The included snorkel equipment worked great!"
